Roots Montessori took its first steps on the 8th of May 2004.
Giving ‘freedom to the child’ and ‘respecting the child as an individual’, have been the motto behind the inception of Roots.
The school was named ‘Roots’ - considering the strong foundation the child builds for himself with the help of the environment he is in during his formative years. And considering the absorbent quality of the child’s mind between 2 1/2 to 6years of age, we believe that if the ‘Roots’ are strong and well developed the ‘fruits’ that the tree would bear will surely be sweet.
Roots began its journey from its 5th Block Jayanagar premises. “Roots” has since grown from staff strength of 5 members to a committed staff of 40 members now guided by, Pruthvi Banwasi – Trustee since 2004, Mrs. Meenakshi Sivaramakrishnan – Trustee since 2008, Pranothi Banwasi – Trustee since 2010
